Perfection Keeps You Fat
Are you constantly criticizing yourself that you are not good enough and that there is something wrong with you?
Do you set standards for yourself you can never meet?
The need to be “Perfect” is one reason you are still struggling with weight!
The emotion of perfection comes from a past trauma. Something happened in your life that left you feeling like something is wrong with you and you’ve been trying to be perfect ever since.
The Japanese mend broken objects with gold. They believe that when something has suffered damage it becomes more beautiful.
Have you suffered pain and trauma? Yes!
If you are human, you have had painful traumatic experiences in your life that have left you feeling not good enough and unlovable.
Your need to be perfect comes from ignoring your emotional traumas. You try and “fix” yourself by going on a diet or weight loss program only to fail yet again!
Dieting Will NEVER Make You Happy or Mend Your Trauma!
When you look outside yourself to heal the hurt areas of your emotional body, like going on a diet, you will never be fulfilled and will constantly strive for something you cannot ever attain…Perfection!
No matter what diet you’ve gone, you have failed!
No matter what exercise program you’ve started, you’ve quit!
You put yourself down everyday because you’re not perfect.
Perfection is a state not compatible with happiness.
Isn’t the reason you want to lose weight to be happy?
Your need to be perfect will NEVER be met and it is taking away your happiness.
What do you do?
I know you want a peaceful life in a body you love and that must start with FULL acceptance of ALL your emotions.
Try this on…
Accept that there is a part of you that wants to be perfect and don’t make it right, wrong, good or bad. Let it be okay that it’s there in your body.
Next, breath life into it.
Your breath is life. Without air you would die in minutes!
Use your breath and expand the feeling of wanting to be perfect in your body. If you really practice this and surrender, it will start to dissolve the emotion of perfection. You’ll literally feel it release it’s hold on you. Then you can start to allow a little bit of peace to flow into your body.
It’s not a mistake you have a need to be perfect!
Like I said earlier, it came from trauma you experienced in the past. That trauma was not good or bad or right or wrong. It was an experience you had that created emotions you became conditioned to feeling everyday, like the need to be perfect. Your daily emotions can be the catalyst for your expansion toward love and peace if you let them.
One reason you are here in a human body is to have a journey of emotional expansion toward love. The ONLY way to have a journey toward love is to start away from love, otherwise there is no journey!
When you fully accept that you are someone who lives with the need to be perfect you can start to recognize that feeling when it comes up and start to give yourself a break and move toward peace.
“Sometimes we strive so hard for perfection that we forget that imperfection is happiness.”
